This
course covers Basic Customer Service skills, Typing/ Keyboarding Fundamentals
(minimum 25 WPM), Telephone Etiquette, Microsoft Office Programs, Spelling,
Letter writing, Memos, Filing, and Office machines. Also included are studies
in organization and safety, career opportunities, work ethics and self-concept,
getting along with others in the office. Office, computer systems, Networks,
email, telecommunications. Likewise, filing and managing records, processing
business documents, accounting and financial activities, sending and receiving
mail, time management, etc. will be covered as well.
This
course/module provides a simulated office experience where the students are
assisting three physicians. This is composed of 36 self-paced exercises for the
student to develop skills for medical office assistants. In this course students will
learn Basic Customer Service, Typing/Keyboarding Fundamentals (minimum 25 WPM),
In addition they will learn the following skills: Scheduling patient appointments, Establishing and
maintaining patient records, Coding procedures and diagnoses, Transcribing
dictation, Prepare health insurance claim forms, Patient monthly billing,
Compute office payroll with deductions, Draft office correspondence, Process
telephone messages.
This training is designed to teach the basic skills needed for an entry-level position in Accounting. It will consist of Basic Customer Service, Keyboarding Fundamentals (25 WPM), Telephone Etiquette and Accounting. This course is designed for students who want to learn about computerized accounting principles. It does this in three ways, 1) to present and integrate accounting principles in such a way that no prior knowledge of computers or computerized accounting is required, 2) to provide hands-on approach to learning how modern computerized automated accounting systems function, 3) to provide knowledge and hands-on experience in integrating accounting with other business applications such as spreadsheets and word processors.
This training is designed to teach the basic skills
needed for an entry-level position in the Customer Service industry. From
Retail Customer Service to Teleservices/ Call Center industry, each participant
will be assessed for their transferable skills and will then start the module
of training. This will consist of Basic Customer Service, Typing Fundamentals
(25 WPM), Telephone Etiquette, Telephone Technology, handling objections and
the difficult customer. Participants will learn how to handle all types of
business communications such as taking phone messages, screening calls and
handling irate customers. Our goal is to give a basic overall training that
will allow the participants to be placed in an employment setting where they
can feel successful and grow.
These courses are designed to allow the students to work at
their own pace and to help each student feel successful with the help of our
training staff. When the course is
finished, each student will receive a Certificate of Completion in Basic
Customer Service, Keyboarding (If student achieves 25 wpm) as well as the
module they have chosen. Our goal is to give a basic overall training that will
allow the student to be placed in an employment setting where they can feel
successful and grow.
These self-paced
training courses consist of 4 weeks of classroom instruction. Call for
information on class meeting times. Training will be available in English with
assistance in Spanish.
